Justice League casting update

Click right here to read some of the names competing for roles in director George Miller’s Justice League.

Or don’t read it, and save yourself a lot of terror and worry.

Miller is reportedly looking for the young actors to grow into their roles over the course of several movies. The director is due to present his findings to the studio midweek.

Then … why don’t you just cast people who are already “grown”?

Christopher Reeve didn’t have to grow into Superman.

Lynda Carter didn’t have to grow into Wonder Woman.

Christian Bale didn’t have to grow into Batman.

They simply were.

Seriously, if Adam Brody gets cast as Batman, I’m going to climb a tree and never come down.

Ever.

(But I do think Common would rock as Green Lantern.)

Chicagoctober 2007!

Massive thanks to Greg for hosting one of the very best vacations of my entire life. I’ll do a write-up as soon as I can, but rest assured the story will include some of the following items: toll roads, Paul F. Tompkins, the amazing Electric Hot Dogger, the blood cot (not to be confused with a blood clot), Giordano’s, Liam Neeson, a guy who might have been Seth Rogen, Galactic subs vs. Tuscaninis, my (accidental) kicking of one of the prettiest girls I’ve ever seen, and Greg’s on-foot hot pursuit of a couple of perps who broke into a car outside of his apartment.

(Seriously. Even though The Dark Knight is no longer filming there, make no mistake that Batman is still in Chicago. Criminals beware.)

Photos are up. I’ll add captions later, and the story of the weekend will end up right here when it’s done.

Thanks again, Greg!

Indiana Jones, Batman anticipated by other people, too

Okay, I had to sneak this in:

MovieTickets.com did a survey about the most anticipated movies of 2008.

You can read the results right here.

The most anticipated film is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which comes out on May 22, followed by the Batman Begins continuation, The Dark Knight, which debuts on July 18.

I could have told you that!

You can read all kinds of interesting things about both of these movies right here and right here.
