Peace Fund Radio #99

Even though he’s only 14 years old, singer/songwriter Dalton Cyr is already one of Peace Fund Radio’s oldest friends. Dalton joins Adrian Paul and Ethan Dettenmaier in the studio (and me by phone) to talk about his upcoming projects, his recent events for children and charities, and the power of wish fulfillment for kids via organizations such as The Dream Factory (for which Dalton is a National Ambassador) and One Simple Wish. Dalton performs an acoustic version of his hit song “Upside Down” and closes out the show with an exclusive world premiere of his new Christmas single.

Glen Phillips has OPTIONS for you

Glen Phillips, who writes and sings the songs for Toad the Wet Sprocket, released a rarities collection called OPTIONS today.

Highlights for me are the original versions of “Courage” (featuring the final verse and more Ben Folds harmonies) and “I Still Love You” (which showed up in an alternate version on MR. LEMONS) from the WINTER PAYS FOR SUMMER sessions, along with “Always Returning” (originally released as an iTunes exclusive that eventually disappeared from iTunes) and “Better Off Here,” which is my favorite from this collection, which were also recorded for that album but didn’t end up on it.

Lots of good demos here from ABULUM, too, especially “Fred Meyers” and “Professional Victim.”
