Bardem and Bale join Carnahan for Escobar flick

Variety reports that director Joe Carnahan is making a movie based on Mark Bowden’s book, Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World’s Greatest Outlaw.

Javier Bardem will play drug lord Pablo Escobar, and Christian Bale is in talks to play Major Steve Jacoby, the Delta Force commander tasked with tracking him down.

Yari Film Group, which released one of my favorite movies, The Illusionist, will produce.

I’m a big fan of Joe Carnahan — Narc was awesome — and Bale can do no wrong. This should be good.

The Bluth boys ride again!

Jason Bateman and Michael Cera — who played the best TV father/son team ever on Arrested Development — are both in the upcoming movie Juno.

But they don’t share any scenes together.

However!

Entertainment Weekly has two video interviews — well, two parts of the same video interview — where the old Bateman/Cera one-two punch is back in business.

And it’s as awesome and as hilarious and as lovingly awkward as ever.

As for Juno, it looks amazingly sweet.

Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman. What’s not to like?

Be sure to watch the trailer and you might even be rewarded with an Office cameo.

I don’t even know what you’re still waiting for.

And.

I like Jennifer Garner.

An American history moment

George “Black Belt” Forbes and Dennis “The Menace” Kucinich prepare to put the hammer of justice down by declaring ninjas illegal at a 1977 Cleveland city council meeting.

Shortly after the photo was taken, they battled 47 ninjas.

And won.

More on Dennis Kucinich’s presidential campaign right here.
