A double dose of superhero funny business

First up, unfathomably hot Watchmen star Malin Akerman finds herself an object of nerd tourism in her own bedroom:

She’s as funny as she is sexy. (And so is the roommate.) And that’s saying something.

And then Jon Hamm (Mad Men) plays a Lex Luthor in search of a federal bailout:

Brilliant! From the first second I ever saw of Mad Men, I cast Hamm in my head as Superman. And he was so hilarious when he hosted Saturday Night Live — and even funnier and more charming on his recent run of guest shots on 30 Rock — that I’m even more convinced he would be an awesome Superman. Make it so, Warner Bros.!

An Easter miracle

I went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch on Saturday and ordered the 12-piece chicken nuggets and waffle fries combo.

I opened my box of nuggets and immediately noticed it looked light. Had I accidentally been given an 8-piece box?

I counted.

There were only 10.

So I walked back up to the counter and said to the guy behind it, “Excuse me, but I’m missing two nuggets from my 12-piece.”

“Just a second,” he said, and he walked away, and about five seconds later he handed me a whole new 12-piece box.

“Aw, man, you don’t have to do that,” I said.

He just smiled and shrugged a friendly shrug.

So I basically enjoyed a 22-piece.

And waffle fries.

And sweet tea.

Thank you, Chick-Fil-A guy.

And Happy Easter to all of you out there!
