The new X-Files movie, I mean.
The first one was subtitled Fight the Future, and now we’ve got The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
I like it.
It sums up everything that Mulder and Scully fought for, lost and gained over the course of the show’s nine seasons and of course it echoes the words on Mulder’s famous UFO poster.
Series creator (and the new movie’s director and co-writer) Chris Carter says, “It’s a natural title. It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. ‘I Want to Believe.’ It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”
